I’m an Independent Digital Contractor based in Toronto with clients in Canada and Jamaica.
I worked full-time in my field for 10 years before launching my career as a Freelancer after a life-changing cancer scare at the end of 2015. After clearing the disease in 2016, I continued building my clientele under my business name, Anet Tascio, working remotely and fulfilling a lifelong professional dream. While working virtually, I started a second business renting out my own unit in Liberty Village through Airbnb, becoming a successful 5 star Superhost. I was featured by Airbnb at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2017 as 1 of 6 creative Superhosts in the City of Toronto.
Currently, I am working with ongoing clients for 2+ years with tasks ranging from web and email administration, web design and development, domain and hosting management, digital photography, and graphic design for print and web.
Before returning to digital media, I was practicing Gemmology, working for Canada’s leading pearl importer in Montreal. Although I loved my career, I followed my passion and returned to the Internet.
Aside from spending time online, I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, learning new things, music, sports (gearhead too), and self-improvement. I believe in a lifestyle which balances both online and offline life, especially with the increasing speed and expectations of digital living.
